PRIVACY POLICY

This Privacy Policy describes how Juner Health, Inc. ("Juner," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the Juner mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service").
We built Juner to help you take ownership of your sexual and reproductive health. The information you share with us is some of the most personal data you have, and we treat it that way. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over your data.
If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use Juner.

  1. Who We Are
    Juner is operated by Juner Health, Inc., a Delaware C-Corporation. Juner Health, Inc. is the entity responsible for your information and the decisions about how it is collected and used. In legal terms, Juner Health, Inc. is the controller of your personal data.
    The Juner application is published and distributed on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store by Storend Ventures LLC, which acts as the publisher of record on behalf of Juner Health, Inc. Storend Ventures LLC handles app store distribution only. It does not independently collect, control, or use your personal information. All data practices described in this policy are carried out by Juner Health, Inc.

  2. Who Can Use Juner
    Juner is intended for users who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you are under 18, please do not use the Service or provide any information to us. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a user under 18, we will delete that information promptly. If you believe we may have information from or about a user under 18, please contact us at hello@getjuner.com.
    Juner is currently available to users in the United States, excluding the State of Washington. We may expand availability to other regions over time.

  3. Information We Collect
    We collect information you provide directly, information generated when you use Juner, and a limited set of technical information.
    3.1 Information You Provide
    When you create an account and use Juner, you may provide:

    Identity information such as your name and email address.
    Demographic information such as age, sex assigned at birth, and ZIP code.
    Health and reproductive information such as conditions you live with, medications you take, screenings you have completed, cycle data, symptoms, and other inputs you provide to your personalized screening plan.
    Photos of medication labels or packaging that you choose to scan using Juner Lens.
    Conversations and questions you submit to Juner AI.
    Any other information you choose to share with us, including feedback, support requests, or survey responses.

    Most fields in Juner are optional. You can use the Service with only the information you choose to share.

    3.2 Information Generated by Your Use of Juner

    Account activity such as which features you use, screenings you complete, medications you log, and notifications you receive.
    Device information such as device model, operating system, app version, language, and time zone.
    Approximate location based on the ZIP code you provide (used to power features like clinic finder). We do not collect precise GPS location.
    Diagnostic and crash information generated when Juner experiences an error.

    3.3 Information from Third Parties
    We do not purchase personal data from data brokers, advertising networks, or other third-party sources. If you sign in using a third-party identity provider in the future (such as Apple or Google), we will receive only the information that provider shares with us based on your settings, typically your name and email.

  4. How We Use Your Information
    We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

    To provide and personalize Juner's features, including your screening plan, medication insights, clinic finder, Juner AI, and reminders.
    To create and manage your account.
    To communicate with you about the Service, including updates, security notices, and responses to your requests.
    To improve Juner by understanding which features are used, where users encounter problems, and what to build next.
    To detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, security incidents, and harmful or illegal activity.
    To comply with our legal obligations and enforce our terms.

We do not use your personal health information to serve advertisements. We do not sell your data.

5. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the specific circumstances described below.
5.1 Service Providers
We rely on a small number of trusted third-party service providers to operate Juner. These providers process data on our behalf, under contracts that require them to protect your information and use it only for the purposes we authorize:
Supabase is our database and authentication provider. All Juner user data is stored within Supabase.
Anthropic (Claude API) powers Juner AI. When you send a message to Juner AI, your prompt is transmitted to Anthropic's API to generate a response. Under Anthropic's commercial API terms, Anthropic does not use API inputs to train its models.
Sentry provides crash and error reporting that helps us identify and fix bugs.
PostHog provides product analytics that help us understand which features are used and where users encounter friction. Events may be associated with your user identifier.
Each of these providers may store data outside your home state or country. We require each provider to apply industry-standard security and privacy protections.
5.2 Legal Requests and Safety
We may disclose information if we are required to do so by law or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to:

Comply with a valid subpoena, court order, warrant, or other lawful request from a government authority.
Protect the safety, rights, or property of Juner, our users, or the public.
Investigate or prevent fraud, abuse, or violations of our terms.

Our posture on legal requests is the following. We require valid legal process before disclosing user data. We push back on requests that are overbroad or improperly issued. We notify affected users of legal requests for their data when we are legally permitted to do so. Where feasible, we will publish a transparency report describing the requests we receive.
5.3 Business Transfers
If Juner is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, sale of assets, or similar transaction, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. If a transfer occurs, we will notify affected users at least 30 days in advance by email or in-app notification, so you have time to delete your account before the transfer takes effect if you choose.
5.4 With Your Consent
We may share your information for other purposes with your explicit consent. You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting us.
5.5 What We Do Not Do
To make our practices clear:

We do not sell your personal information to advertisers, data brokers, insurers, or any third party.
We do not share your reproductive or sexual health information with advertisers or marketers.
We do not allow third-party advertising networks to track you inside Juner.
We do not voluntarily share user data with law enforcement without valid legal process.

  1. Juner AI and Your Conversations
    Juner AI is a conversational assistant built on the Anthropic Claude API. We want to be transparent about how it works.

    When you send a message to Juner AI, your message is transmitted to Anthropic's API, which generates a response that is returned to your device.
    Under Anthropic's commercial API terms, your conversations are not used to train Anthropic's models.
    We may store your conversation history in Supabase so you can review past conversations and so Juner AI can provide better responses based on context. You can delete your conversation history at any time.
    Do not share information in Juner AI that you would not want recorded. While we and Anthropic apply industry-standard protections, no system that transmits data to a third-party service is completely free of risk.
    Juner AI does not provide medical diagnosis, treatment, or emergency advice. See Section 13 below.

  2. How We Protect Your Information
    We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including:

    Encryption of data in transit using TLS.
    Encryption of data at rest within Supabase.
    Access controls that limit which Juner team members can access user data, and only for legitimate business purposes.
    Logging and monitoring of access to systems containing user data.
    Regular review of our security practices and third-party providers.

    No system is perfectly secure. While we work hard to protect your information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. If we become aware of a security incident affecting your information, we will notify you in accordance with applicable law.

  3. Data Retention
    We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. When you delete your account, we remove your personal information from our active systems within 30 days. Encrypted backup copies are retained for up to 90 days from the date of deletion and are then permanently erased.
    We may retain certain information after deletion if required by law, to resolve disputes, to enforce our agreements, or to comply with legitimate business or legal obligations. Where retention is required, we limit the data we keep to what is necessary for that purpose.
    Anonymized or aggregated data that cannot be linked back to you may be retained indefinitely for analytics and product improvement.

    9. Your Choices and Rights
    You have control over your information.
    9.1 Access and Update
    You can access, update, or correct most of your account and health information directly within the Juner app. If you need help, contact us at hello@getjuner.com.
    9.2 Delete Your Account
    You can permanently delete your Juner account and all associated data from inside the app. Go to the Profile tab, scroll to the Account section, and select Delete Account. You can also request deletion by emailing hello@getjuner.com from the email address on your account. We will process email-based deletion requests within 30 days.
    9.3 Export Your Data
    You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you by contacting hello@getjuner.com. We will provide your data in a portable, machine-readable format within 30 days, subject to identity verification.
    9.4 Communications
    You can opt out of marketing communications at any time by using the unsubscribe link in our emails or by adjusting your in-app notification settings. We may still send you essential service messages, such as security alerts or changes to this policy.
    9.5 Cookies and Tracking
    Juner is a mobile application and does not use cookies inside the app. The Juner marketing website may use a minimal set of cookies for basic site functionality. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

    10. Reproductive Health Data and Legal Requests
    We recognize that reproductive and sexual health data is sensitive and that our users are rightfully concerned about how this data could be used following changes in the legal landscape in the United States.
    Here is where Juner stands:

We do not sell, rent, or trade reproductive health data to anyone, ever.
We collect only the reproductive health information needed to provide the Service to you.
We require a valid subpoena, warrant, or court order before disclosing user data in response to a government request.
We will push back on legal requests that are overbroad, vague, or improperly issued.
We will notify affected users of legal requests for their data when we are legally permitted to do so.
Where feasible, we will publish a transparency report describing the categories and volume of legal requests we receive.
We give you tools to delete your account and your data at any time, directly from the app.

What we cannot promise is that no government anywhere will ever issue a valid legal request for user data. No company can promise that and tell the truth. What we can promise is that we will not voluntarily share your data, we will require valid legal process for any compelled disclosure, and we will give you the tools to delete your data whenever you choose.

11. Your Rights as a Resident of California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, or Other U.S. States
If you are a resident of a U.S. state with a comprehensive consumer privacy law, including California (CCPA/CPRA), Virginia (VCDPA), Colorado (CPA), Connecticut (CTDPA), Utah (UCPA), and other states with similar laws, you may have additional rights, including:

The right to know what personal information we collect about you and how we use it.
The right to access a copy of your personal information.
The right to correct inaccurate personal information.
The right to delete your personal information.
The right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information (note: we do not sell or share your information for cross-context behavioral advertising).
The right to limit the use and disclosure of sensitive personal information, including health information.
The right not to be discriminated against for exercising your privacy rights.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@getjuner.com. We will verify your request and respond within the timeframe required by applicable law (generally 45 days). You may also designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf, subject to verification.
California residents have the right to request the categories of personal information disclosed to third parties for the third parties' direct marketing purposes. As stated elsewhere in this policy, we do not disclose personal information for third-party direct marketing.

12. Users in Washington State
Juner is not currently available to residents of the State of Washington. If we detect that you are accessing the Service from Washington, we may restrict your access. We plan to make Juner available to Washington residents once we have implemented compliance with the Washington My Health My Data Act.

13. Juner Is Not Medical Advice
Juner provides general information and personalized organizational tools related to sexual and reproductive health. Juner is not a medical device, is not a substitute for medical care, and does not provide medical diagnosis or treatment.

We do not diagnose health conditions.
We do not prescribe medications.
We do not advise you to start, stop, or change any treatment.
We do not provide emergency medical advice.

If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or your local emergency number, or go to your nearest emergency department. For questions about your specific health situation, consult a licensed healthcare provider.

14. International Users
Juner is operated from the United States and is currently intended for users located in the United States. If you access Juner from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country.

15. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make a material change, we will notify you by email, by in-app notification, or by posting a notice on the Juner marketing website at least 30 days before the change takes effect. The "Effective Date" at the top of this policy indicates when the latest version became effective. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
